Once you book your day of Fraser River sturgeon fishing with us we’ll send you all the trip information, a list of good things to bring, details on obtaining your fishing license and a driving map to the designated meeting point. If you have included transportation for your day then we’ll get your pickup info. Trips commence at 8.00 AM, if we’re picking you up expect a 6.30 AM pickup at your hotel. Upon arriving in Chilliwack, you’ll meet our guide at the Chilliwack Coast Hotel. This centrally located hotel provides accommodations for our angling guests and to park your vehicle if you are only on a day trip. From there, you will meet your guide and prepare for an 8am departure. Riding in your guide’s truck with jet boat in tow, you will ride to one of a number of boat launches we use to access various points of the river depending on the river conditions, time of year and the hunch of your guide. Your fishing time starts when the boat leaves the launch, and you will spend a minimum of 8 hours in search of fish. During the day, you may find yourself hungry – its a good idea to pack yourself a lunch. After your day of fishing is over and the boat reaches the launch, the boat will get loaded up on the trailer and your guide will return you to the hotel. Depending on the season, it is advisable to be prepared in terms of clothing and sun protection. The boats are covered for rain or for shade from the sun. However, as always please take precautions. Warm weather and sun means a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and comfortable light clothing. During Spring and Fall, it is advisable to dress in layers, and have rain gear at the ready. We live on the coast and the weather can change quickly. Being prepared takes adverse weather out of the fishing equation and keeps your day as enjoyable as possible. If you have any questions after you’ve booked we’re always easy to get a hold of via email or our toll free phone number.
